Its Halloween everyone, so dress up your scary costume, tell scary and weird stories, decorate your house with scary and creepy things and most importantly, watch Horror Movies with your friends and family in darkness after being lit by the glow of your TV Screen and Set your mood for Halloween.
So without any further due, I am counting down the Top 5 Classic Horror Movies to watch on YouTube for Free. Let me clarify that this is not the Top 5 Scariest Movies of all time, this is the Classics/Cult Horror Films that set the tones and themes for the future Horror Genre. And you can watch it on YouTube for free, so turn off your lights, grab your popcorn, sit back and relax and just click on the below links and get ready to be scared.
5. Night of the Living Dead (1968)
George A. Romero’s Night of the Living Dead is a critical acclaim and a cult film among horror fans. Romero transformed the horror film genre with this film. It’s the First Ever Movie that redefined the word “Zombie”. This film introduced the theme of Zombies as a flesh-eating cannibals. It’s also spawned Five sequels and build up a cult status now.
4. The Last Man on Earth (1964)
Before Will Smith’s I Am Legend there was The Last Man on Earth. The Film is based on the 1954 Richard Matheson novel I Am Legend and Directed by Ubaldo Ragona and Sidney Salkow and stars Horror Film Legend Vincent Price. The film shows an amazing apocalyptic era of the 60’s and Vincent Price gave one of his best performances in this film. The film has gained cult status and considered one the classics of its genre.
3. The Phantom of the Opera (1925)
It’s the one the oldest silent horror film of them all. The film is an adaptation of Gaston Leroux’s 1910 novel Le Fantôme de l’Opéra and Directed by Rupert Julian and staring Lon Chaney Sr. The film was a box office Hit and gain favorable Reviews from the Critics of that time and Now this film is considered to be one of the Best Classic Horror Film of all time and inspired Universal Studios to start and build their Horror Movies Franchises.
2. House on Haunted Hill (1959)
It’s the one of my Personal Favorite Horror/Mystery Movie of all time. House on Haunted Hill is Directed by William Castle and stars Horror Film Legend Vincent Price. The film revolves around Five strangers who are invited in a House for a Hunted House Party and whoever stays in the house for One Night will earn $10,000. The film has Horror, Mystery, and Suspense elements which make this film a wonderful Horror experience to watch.
1. Nosferatu (1922)
Before the Famous Dracula (1931) film there was Nosferatu. This German Expressionist Silent horror film was an unauthorized adaptation of Bram Stoker’s Dracula and Directed by F. W. Murnau and stars Max Schreck as the vampire Count Orlok. It’s the first ever vampire-themed Film in the History of the Cinema. It’s Rotten Tomatoes’ second best-reviewed horror film of all time. It’s the most influential Horror Film of the Silent era.
