Westworld is another Masterpiece Series from the House of HBO. The show is based on the 1973 Film of the same name although its entirely different take. It’s a Wild West Theme based amusement park made-up of Humanoid Android or “Host” as they refer to them in the show. From Human figures to Animals everything in the park are built to please Human being or “Guest” as they call them. It’s a place where people can do anything from Murdering Host to even raping them or choosing their own adventure in the Westworld as Good or Bad Cowboy.

The show’s main theme is about Creation of Life and Finding Consciousness, which I like the most. It gives so many metaphors that are related to life and God itself. It’s a world where humans can create Life in the form of Humanoid Android(Robots) and can manipulate them or give them purpose of life or even create Consciousness in the form of Developing their Artificial Intelligence. The Series also shows a philosophical journey of Life.

The first season has a very concentrated Writing and a resilient Screenplay. Also, Dialogue of the show have more of a philosophical feeling and hidden meaning to it. Character development is the plus point the show. Every main or supporting character is well-developed throughout the 10 episodes.

The show’s cast is combined of Hollywood’s A Grade Actor and Actress like Hollywood Film Legend Anthony Hopkins and Ed Harris. It also stars Evan Rachel Wood, Jeffrey Wright, Thandie Newton, James Marsden.

I would like to give a special mention to Anthony Hopkins. He played the Character of Robert Ford who is the co-creator of Westworld Theme Park. Quite frankly he nailed the character. He literary carry the entire first season on his amazing acting chops. He steals every scene where he is in it.

Opening Title Sequence of the Show:

The Opening Title Sequence of the show is the Third Best Title Sequence after Game of Thrones and Stranger Things in my opinion. It is created by a production studio named Elastic. Previously they created the Title Sequence of Game of Thrones for HBO. Patrick Clair was the creative director of the Title Sequence. He added some elements from a novel ‘Player Piano’ and Leonardo da Vinci’s Vitruvian Man. The Title Music is Composed by Ramin Djawadi which is a blend of Piano, Violins and Cello and its one the great Title track.

Should you Watch it??
I would say Absolutely. You have to watch it twice to catch the Superlative Experience. My ratings for the First Season is 4.8 out of 5. It has a strong Story line with appalling twist and turns in the way and it could be the Next Game of Thrones.

Take a look at the Teaser Trailer for the show below:
